Book Club Monday: My Favorite Felt Sweets!

You betcha, what an incredible book. Miss LoodyLoo has started to take a keen interest in her cardboard hotplate and kitchen accoutrement. She makes 'soup' a lot with the wooden fruit she has -- and the occasional dinosaur or stuffed rabbit that comes her way -- but really she's all about the donut, just like her maman. Hmm, chocolate...
No pull out pattern sheet in ISBN 978-4-8347-2557-5 but the diagrams in the instruction section look to be full sized -- though really, is an eclair ever too big?? -- and the attention to detail is stunning. Angel food cake with a cake pan, geesh!

Assemble your own cake, or just pretend eat the mandarin orange slices and pretend lick the splodges of icing. Up to you, really. I have to say the addition of embroidered faces are too cutesie for my tastes, but creative points for adding flan and single serve ice cream to the book. There is also a special section on Japanese sweets. So very pretty...

Of course if all this is too much, there are always cookies. Plain and simple, but oh so comforting.
You betcha...

edit: Holy Cannoli, Batman! There's an English version out now too. Sweet!

The embroidered faces are too cutesy for me too but I gotta say I love the idea of a build-your-own cake set for my son's play kitchen. Terribly fun.

Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to comment -- I love reading them.  However, please do not use my images and/or text without asking my permission first. Thank you.
