In the mail today was a box of thread, so I felt I should sew something to celebrate. I guess it's a high compliment that she wouldn't take them off long enough for me to take a better photo, right?
These are the tester pair of the blue Japanese pants from this book. I didn't do the waist band or trims as illustrated but my way worked and I figure if I can't read the instructions, then my way goes.
Soft featherweight cotton ticking, a bit of a paperbag ruffle at the top of the waist for a girly touch.
Good enough. We'll be seeing more versions in the coming weeks, this I am certain if I ever want to wash these.
