tester cords

By now, you should all be saying 'step away from the grey/brown fabric', but really, these are just the tester pair. I'm too lazy to make a muslin that Miss LoodyLoo would never wear and too frugal to cut up some fun fabric to learn from my mistakes, so I dug up some recycled corduroy from a pair of my old J.Jill pants.
Buttery soft wide wale corduroy, lush, plush, and an absolute nightmare to sew if I didn't have a serger to stabilize the edges. Even so, I'm covered in cord fluff so badly even my cat is avoiding me.
But these are cute pants. I went with the ruffled pant pattern from this book but omitted the bottom ruffle because of fabric weight and also the attached skirt. Can her legs really be this long now? We shall see...
