apples microcord

Another peter pan collared shirt for Miss Loodyloo, this time in a featherweight apple print micro cord. Soft, cozy, just right for winter.
I had the fabric cut before christmas but I just got around to sewing it together now-- and figured I'd better get a move on or it might be spring before she would get a chance to wear it.

I'm still not completely satisfied with the collar even though I hand sewed it again, and the buttons were a disaster this time around. It took me four tries to get everything in place. Then again, it could have just been one of those days since they look fine now. Actually, the whole project was a classic case of holiday hangover sewing -- lack of concentration, wobbly motor control, simple user error -- but it all worked out in the end.
Again from this pattern, size 90cm, which is suddenly fitting perfectly. How trite to say it out loud, but my, she is growing up.

How sweet! And I love the fabric. I also really like the term wobbly motor control as I seem to get that a lot.

The fabric is sweet! and from this view it looks like you did a great job. I like the design and it looks like it fits her nicely.

I do love it! You'd never know it gave you so much trouble in the construction phase :)

You are excellent with that sewing machine! I think this is such a cute top. I love the way clothes look on children this age. The proportions are adorable.
